MINE AND BELLA'S FIRST MOTHER'S DAY TOGETHER

I was super excited to celebrate our 1st mother's day together. Bella and I spent the day yesterday w/ Uncle Stevie at the mall and went to lunch. It was so cute, Bella did NOT want to be in her stroller, she HAD to walk in the mall , so I let her roam for a little while. I can already tell the independence in this little girl. It was such a nice day! Today, Bella and I spent the morning together just the 2 of us while Eric was at work. Then, when Eric got home I got my gift from Eric and Bella).It was a beautiful charm bracelet w/ a picture of her, her name on it, and some other cute stuff, it's so sweet. Then, we picked up Nani and went out to dinner. It was super yummy (Carrabba's). My mom and I exchanged a spa day w/ each other, we are going to do that next week. It was a fabulous day. My family is so special to me and I love them very much. My baby girl is the center of my universe and she makes me so happy. Sometimes I just look at her and tear up, I just can't believe how lucky I am that God blessed me w/ such a perfect little angel. I love you Isabella, thanks for a wonderful 1st Mommy's day!

6 years and counting....

On Sunday May 3rd, Eric and I celebrated our 6th year wedding anniversary. I woke up to a dozen roses, very sweet. We started the morning with a yummy breakfast. I made french toast that soaks overnight (yummo) and all the fixins'. We just spent the day in the house the 3 of us, just enjoying each other's company. In the late afternoon, Eric and I headed to the Marriott at Desert Ridge for a before dinner drink. We then had dinner at Roy's, it was super fabulous! We even had dessert , which we never ever do. But, we just had to because they had pineapple upside down cake. Anyone who knows Eric well knows he LOVES pineapple upside down cake. Then we went outside and sat in the lawn on some chairs and enjoyed the beautiful weather! Here are some pics from our night. Walkin and talkin

So our baby is officially talking AND walking. I know I should be so proud of her (which of course I am) , it is still a little sad that she is getting so big. She continues to walk great and is saying more and more words. Her favorites are: mom, dad, dog (her absolute favorite), hi, and the best one "what's up"! She also signs the word "more", so cute. If I ask her "where is Sadie?" she will look at her and say "dog". She says it whether I say "Sadie" or "dog" which is pretty impressive. I will post a video soon of her in her toy box area and me asking her to pick a toy out of the bunch, and without any help, she picks the right toy EVERYTIME! So smart! I do these kind of activities at work w/ my kiddos, why not do it at home right? So here is a video of her improved walking, and her saying the word "dog". She is a little upset in the beginning because she is tired of me chasing her w/ the camera... :)

5 steps

Up until Tuesday night, the most steps Bella could walk on her own was 3, however Tuesday it was FIVE! Here is a video of her doing it again today w/ 5 steps. She looks drunk, but so cute :0

Easter

Our Easter started with Bella opening up her basket. She is only 10 months old so there is not much we could put in there, but we made it work. Nannie bought her a sandbox/pool for the backyard.


So, we bought her some sand and water toys. We also got her a few toys. We then went to breakfast as a family. Eric had to go to work (his schedule changed last minute), and I went to church while Bella napped with Nannie. Bella and I then went to Grandpa's house to see the family. We had a great time visiting with everyone. Bella and I headed home and had a yummy dinner w/ Daddy and Nannie. Overall, it was a perfect Easter.

The Hoovers go to the zoo

Because Eric took vacation during my 2 week Spring Break, we planned a lot of family activities for the week. Wednesday was zoo day. We had so much fun! Bella loved being outside and seeing all the animals. THe ducks were her absolute favorite, we got down and fed them and she kept giggling. She also loved the petting zoo.
