Renewal of 10 year anniversary vows

Eric and I have talked about renewing our vows since almost right after we got married. A year ago, we decided to do it in our second home, San Diego! Our closest friends traveled to San Diego on May 3, 2013, to celebrate our special weekend. We chose to write our own vows to each other to make it even more special. Jen, one of my best friends, officiated and our long time friend Mikie closed out our ceremony with a prayer. We did our vows on my absolute favorite beach..Coronado! The weather was like a dream..75 degrees with a nice breeze.

This day had been in the planning phase for a year. I bought a light pink dress for me and one for Bella, and Eric and Julian wore matching guayabera shirts, shorts, and flip flops. I had flowers for myself, Bella, and boutonnières for Eric, Julian, and my dad. It was all perfect!

We started th e day by having a drink at the beach bar with everyone. We then walked to the most perfect spot by the rocks on the beach. I said my vows first, and then Eric. Eric's vows were so beautiful, and every single person cried. I am amazed at how beautiful and heart felt his vows were. I was so excited for our babies to hear Eric and I profess our love to each other. We promised to love each other forever, which was so important for me that our kids hear that.

After our vows, we walked across from the del Coronado hotel to have our reception lunch At Miguel's restaurant. It was so yummy! We had the best cheese dip sauce with chips to start, a tortilla soup, an entree, and wedding cake. Oh, and lots of beer! It was honestly a dream come true. I told everyone that day was even more perfect than our original wedding day. I envisioned how I wanted this day to be, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to do it again in 10 years!

After our lunch, we went out to my sister and Gabe's house. All of our friends came and we went to the bar and just hung out. Us girls walked on the beach and had a great time!A perfect ending to a perfect day.
