My bubba turns 3

I am in utter shock that my baby boy is now 3 years old! Since we already had his birthday party, we had a quiet party for him at home. We started the morning with cinnamon rolls with candle to blow out. He opened up his presents, which included his own hummer car ;) he also got a new big boy bed set. Jammie, Greg, and Guiliana came over for dinner and cake. It was a great birthday for him! I love my baby boy more than I could ever explain in words. He has made our home so full of spunk and love. He is so sweet to all who know him and he is so very smart. This year he has learned to name all the letter of the alphabet all on his own, can spell his name, speaks in paragraphs, eats all food (except veggies), has given up his daily naps, continues to sleep 13 hours or more at night, and much more. His favorite thing to do is play with his sister. They're best friends! I'm so very proud to be his "mama".

Joint birthday party

The kiddos happened to want a joint birthday party this year, being that their birthdays are only 3 weeks apart. Bella wanted a Minnie Mouse theme and Julian wanted a Mickey Mouse theme, so it worked out perfectly! We decided on a small kiddo water park. It was so great. The kids were able to swim, go down slides, and go on the lazy river. We had a great time and the kiddos got so many gifts! We had a turnout of about 45 kids and adults. We had sub sandwiches, fruit, chips and cake. I loved being able to celebrate 2 parties at once. Maybe we can do it again!

My baby turns 5

Where has my little girl gone??? I'm in shock that I now have a school age child. For her actual birthday, we decorated the house and she got to choose what she wanted for dinner-either go out or choose a homemade meal. What a shock...she chose mom's spaghetti and meatballs. Eric made her an awesome Minnie cake and then she opened her gifts. Mom and dad bought her a new tea set, her very own camera, and a play station game. She was a very happy girl!

At 5 years old, Bella is 44 inches tall (70th percentile) and 41 pounds (58th percentile). Bella is now reading! We started off doing some sight words, and once she had the basics down, we began with simple books. She can now read beginners books. I'm so proud of her and her determination. She's one smart cookie. At five, she's so independent and so easy going. She rarely gets upset and is pretty much always happy. Her and I spend a lot of time together shopping, cooking, reading, snuggling, writing. Her and I are mom and daughter besties. She is really fun to be with, and I love being with her as much as possible. her and Eric have a special bond as well. She is her daddy's baby and he beams with pride because of her. God really blessed Eric and I with a wonderful daughter.

Julian's motto

While I wish Julian would defend himself at time with other kids, it's just not in his nature (at least not yet). So when I saw this shirt, I had to it buy for him.

Mother's Day tea at preschool

Bella's preschool had a Mother's Day tea party. It was so adorable! We opened the day with the kids singing to us mommies. The teacher then read each of us mom's an interview she gave each child about their mom. Bella said I wore a size 20 dress and 15 shoe (yikes). We had tea and snacks all while wearing our beautiful tea hats the kids made. It was such a fun day!

Bella and Julian's joint birthday party

Ths year, Bella and Julian wanted a joint birthday party because Bella wanted Minnie Mouse theme and Julian wanted Mickey Mouse theme. We booked a party at a small waterpark with so many fun things for little kiddos to do. As usual, we had lots of family and friends there to share their special 5th and 3rd birthday party!
